Poetry Reading ‘Aurora Memorial Stone’ by Possathorn Watcharapanit
The stones have shaped meanings and relationships in fleeting moments of time. That's why Possathorn seeks to return to a contemplation of preserving these memories once again, carefully selecting and gathering stones that have absorbed the air of life as it unfolds. He arranges these stones and composes poetry to convey his longing, carried on the winds that tell stories of the connection between what has been, what is, and what is yet to come. As dawn radiates warmth, the wind greets, and shadows drift across the stone temple, Possathorn captures the aurora-like atmosphere before it fades away into memory.
Live Performance ‘Rite of Shadow’ by Monthika Kham-on
'Rite of Shadow' explores the origins of ancient cinema practices in Southeast Asia, where rituals, darkness, spirits, light, and shadow intermingle. Reinterpreted through a cinematic process without reliance on a projection screen, this artwork instead uses the movement of atmospheric elements and the environment as a screen, evoking a phenomenological and collective spiritual experience. It also subtly critiques the dominance of Western cinema, shaped by narrative, entertainment, and propaganda. Montika invites us into a space of release, standing against the gusts of wind. Even as lightning cracks and rain pours, we seek only to cleanse body and spirit in the fleeting moments of twilight.
